2 Albany Street (shop)

This had been Fruit shop run by the Misses Kerr but as this advert from 1910 shows, they ended their business.

Around 1925 it was a dairy, then by 1935 the premises of a compositior and by 1945 a grocers.

1972 - 2018 Charles Kivlin

Kivlin, who abandoned a promising football career to become a hairdresser, revamped Numbers 2 and 4a, the two shops on the north side, and opened his hairdressing salon there. In 2018, he sold one shop and continued to work from Number 4a.
