With installing a water tank in order to recieve the rebate it is necessary to satisfy Sydney Water that the installation has been installed to
their installation code of practice.
The installation has to have a first flush diverter installed and a return to stormwater connected in case of tank overflow situation.
The installation will need to be inspected by Sydney Water to satisfy their requirements.
A double check valve will need to be installed at the water meter to prevent a water backflow situation arising as well, this is applicable
when connected to the mains water supply through a device such as for example a Rainbank changeover regulater.
Unless the meter has been replaced with a new meter that has a double check valve inbuilt.
Pipelines can be run to toilet flushing or washing or outside hose taps if required can install third tap over laundry tub for instance
must have sign indicating tank water in use.
