To treat pipelines with ongoing tree root problems
This material leaves a residual inside the pipeline even to the invert of the pipe where most of the roots penetrate the pipe.
This material foams up on contact with water and contacts the entire inside of the pipeline as other root inhibiters just flow
straight down the bottom of the pipeline and into the Sydney Water main, maybe touching roots growing from the bottom of
the pipeline. (Most tree or grass roots grow in from the top of the pipeline)
The roots contact the residue and cease to continue entering the pipe.
This helps to prevent further damage to the failed area of the pipeline.
The herbicide seems to last for 1 to 2 years
Cost of the chemical is $80.00 per 6m for a 100mm pipeline.+ labour cost of applying this depends on the situation required
to enter the powder to the drainage system.
