Essay 3 is an Inquiry assignment which fulfills the evaluative and exploratory writing components of the CCCNS objectives for ENG 1021. This assignment also allows instructors to introduce concepts such as library, database, and internet research, evaluating sources, genres of sources, media literacy, and synthesizing research. Students will use MLA 9 documentation to incorporate and cite sources from multiple genres. Students will continue developing their skills in organization, grammar, writing mechanics, clarity, and using an appropriate tone/voice.
