DropBox

There is a difference in using Dropbox online verses the downloaded version. The downloaded version is easier to use because it acts like another folder on your computer to store documents and files. However, you can only download Dropbox on your personal computer. You cannot download it to a public computer such a library computer because you would have to download it to every public computer you planned on using and you do not have the necessary rights to download software to public computers.

The online version of Dropbox is still a viable solution to managing your documents and files. It does take a few more steps, but once you get used to it, the process becomes an easy one. The important thing to remember is this: Your files are like your valuables that you want to place in a safe when you are not using them. They have to be manually placed there when you are through with them and they have to be manually removed when you are ready to work with them again.
