Separate ADS team with 1 attending, 2 PAs on weekdays, and max 14 patients. Teaching level patients with max 1 SDU level patient.
ADMISSIONS
Admissions to the service will be during the day. There will be no night admissions.
PA admissions will be part of the color wheel/ teaching team distribution. MAPA will prioritize giving the HA-ADS team early admissions
WEEKDAY
Each day PA will admit 1 patient /day *
Cut off time for admissions will be 4 pm. Admissions will be staffed by Day HA-ADS attending
WEEKEND
If high acuity ads census < 8 = can get 1 admission /day*
Admission cut off time 3 pm. Admissions will be staffed by weekend HA-ADS attending
STEPDOWN PATIENTS
HA ADS can have total 1 SDU patient
This patient must be a daytime admission / ICU downgrade. Cannot have SDU level overnight ICU downgrade
ICU DOWNGRADES
Overnight, HA-ADS medicine can take 1 (ONE) ICU downgrade to their service If total census Is <14 patients
Exclusions: SDU level patient (only can take SDU level downgrade during the daytime)
