Overall Responsibilities

NP Oncology direct admission pager: 4351

The BA (floor secretary) will page when a new direct admit listed under Oncology arrives to the floor.  The majority of these patients are sent in for NP Oncology admissions, and likely an email was sent.  Occasionally the outpatient team requests the pt goes to a teaching team or the patient is too sick for NP Oncology.  In this case, contact the MCR (check AMION, pager 2125, x49320) and alert them of the new patient.

Oncology Hospitalist pager: (6:30pm - 6:30am): 4351

Admission Order: 

Usually 4-5 Night Heme/Onc NPs 

Each NP will do 2 admissions each

Next admission by Oncology Hospitalist

Then each NP will do one more admission each (total 3 each)
