Science Times
One time
it rained a great deal
and so we sat inside
and ate Kathy’s Baklava
and discussed the theory of a
torus shaped earth
occupied at the center
by eternal reptiles
alligators i think
or were they crocodiles?
No lizards!
They were lizards.
It poured outside
and the anti-protons passing underground
gave our red rental wagon
a mind of its own.
But the thing of it was
no one could ever say for certain whether or not there was a hole at the pole leading into the eternal lizard land
because
-as the Fermi-girl pointed out-
no one had ever flown over the location to check.
And the windshield wipers
wiped
all the way home
even after the rain had stopped.
