Listen to this audio from 'Focus on Politics' on Radio National from the 4th of September 2015 which basically says petitions are usually a waste of time - especially the online variety - and those set up by opposition parties.
Interesting that a government-owned media would be dissauding its citizens from expressing their concerns.
