Silent Auction

ACT₂ hosts a Silent Auction at every Biennial conference to raise funds to pay for scholarships to attend the next Biennial.  

Much of the success of the Silent Auction depends on your donations.

Examples of Silent Auction items:

• typical silent auction items such as:

  • hotel packages

  • baskets

  • bottle of wine from your region of Texas

  • gift basket from your region of Texas

  • something for the guys

• pretty much anything nice goes

• The following are examples of things that have proven to be popular with our unique group of attendees:

  • books involving chemistry  (e.g.  the element murder mystery books by Camille Minichino:The Hydrogen Murder, etc.)

  • jewelry involving chemistry  (e.g.  necklace with a pendant that is a chemistry image)

  • puzzles involving chemistry  (e.g.  periodic table puzzle)

  • stuffed animals related to chemistry  (e.g.  mole)
