General:
dress for Biennial is very casual (a lot of us wear t-shirts from previous Biennials); some may change into 'dressy casual' for Banquet
lightweight jacket / sweater / sweatshirt - some of the rooms can feel a bit chilly (This is Texas in the summer, after all. We do like our air conditioning!)
goggles (MUST BRING OWN)
lab coat / apron (PROVIDED ON CAMPUS 2024)
long pants to wear during lab session(s) and full toed shoes
technology: tablet, iPad, laptop - some sessions may be referring to or utilizing technology and you may want to play along on your own device as the session is presented
reusable water bottle
comfortable bag (backpack, school bag, etc) to carry around all your awesome new stuff (you will not be receiving a conference bag)
lanyard/neck wallet/someway to display your name tag for all to see so we can learn who one another is and where we teach
money - we will be selling the earrings and pins that we sell at CAST
money/checkbook/credit card - to purchase those awesome Silent Auction items! There are always items worth fighting over.
If you are staying in the dorms:
reading or table lamp
hand soap and other toiletries
other bedding you may want: blanket, comforter, etc
bath towel, wash cloth, etc
bath mat (or extra towel to use as a bath mat)
