ACT₂ (Associated Chemistry Teachers of Texas) is an organization of (Chemistry) teachers (in Texas). (Not all teachers teach Chemistry, some teach related classes such as IPC / Physical Science. You do not have to live in Texas to be a member of ACT₂.)
ACT₂ hosts a Biennial Conference during the summers of even years. The conference is for high school Chemistry teachers (or anyone interested in Chemistry education) by high school Chemistry teachers - think of a conference like CAST or NSTA but focused on just Chemistry. ACT₂ has been hosting its traditional biennial conferences for the past thirty plus years. It is a great opportunity to socialize with other Chemistry teachers or people interested in Chemistry. At the biennial conference, we get together to share best practices so all who attend can have a better understanding of Chemistry as well as to make their classrooms more successful.
