What all does my registration fee cover?
Everything except your transportation to and from the Biennial site.
sessions
2 year membership with ACT2
goodies from the conference
meals and lodging in the dorms (unless commuter)
t-shirt (everyone needs some swag)
banquet
How long after I complete the registration form do I have to submit payment?
If you are personally paying through PayPal or a check, payment should really be handled within the week. If your school / district is paying, we understand that will take longer, but we should have some communication from school / district within 30 days. If payment / communication is not received within 30 days, your registration may be canceled. If payment is not received until after the late payment date then you will be charged the higher registration fee.
What if I need to cancel? Can I get a refund for the money paid for the conference?
Let us know as soon as possible by sending an email to act2biennial@gmail.com and we will try to get you a refund. Since we have to confirm numbers so far out, refunds are not always possible.
Generally, more than 30 days out should be able to get 100% refund (less $40 for two year membership with ACT2).
More than 10 days out should be able to get a 50% refund (less $40 for two year membership with ACT2).
Less than 10 days out are not guaranteed a refund. Unfortunately conference plans have been finalized. If we have any remaining funds once our bills have been paid, then we will see about how much we can refund you.
What is the normal dress for this shindig?
Normally, VERY casual - with the emphasis on VERY. A lot of us can be seen wearing t-shirts from past Biennials or other nerdy chemistry t-shirts. The banquet we try to "dress up" maybe to a little more of a polo rather than a t-shirt.
What time is check-in?
Check-in will be between 1-3 pm on Monday
Where do I check-in?
That varies by location. Keep an eye out for updates specific to the conference.
What do I need to bring with me?
That can be a bit site specific, but in general check out the Things to Bring page.
