Cubs (boys and girls ages 8-10)
Cubs are encouraged to hold their Motto true by trying new and more challenging activities. It may be paddling a canoe or sleeping in a tent for the first time, planning and cooking meals, or leading activities for their peers. Cubs work independently and as a pack to complete badge and star requirements. All of these adventures and challenges are done with their friends.
Motto
Do your Best
Promise
There are two versions of the promise offered:
Secular promise: I promise to do my best, to be true to myself, to do my duty to my country; to keep the law of the Wolf Cub Pack, and to do a good turn for somebody every day.
Religious promise: I promise to do my best, to love and serve God, to do my duty to the King; to keep the law of the Wolf Cub Pack; and to do a good turn for somebody every day.
Law
The Cub respects the old wolf; the cub respects himself/herself.
Cub Scouts have regular weekly meetings held in the gym at Sealey Hall on Tuesday nights at 6:45-8:15. For safety, everyone must wear shoes at all times.
