Delyn-Y-Coed (The Harp Trees) is a fictional village to the west of Wrexham at the end of a branch line that ran from Wrexham via Brymbo and Minera.

The period is set in the late 1950s until the withdrawal of the passenger services like of most of the lines in the area by Dr Beeching in the mid-1960s. The line was constructed to serve the mainly farming industry in the area of Delyn for which the dairy and Farmers Association and local coal merchants all had facilities in the area. Heavy industry was a feature of the line around Brymbo which once boasted a very large steelworks complex that lasted until the 1980s, with the lime traffic from Minera having finished in the 1970s. Both steel works and lime traffic feature at Delyn-Y-Coed supposing run-round difficulties further down the line.

The model was built by Mike Corp as a GWR North Somerset line called West Harptree, it passed on to the present owners in 2012 who moved the location to North wales. It is built to a scale of 3mm to the foot (or TT) using code 80 rail in Ratio sleepers and handmade points available from 3SMR. The locomotives are a mixture of kit and scratch built from various sources. Rolling stock is in the main kit built from the same sources (3mm society, Finney & Smith, 3SMR, Worsley works etc.).
