Whereabouts of Walter Bubenicek

Ken Baker has asked if we could help locate a 2SQN member. I have repeated part of his request below. If anyone can help please contact me ( 2sqnraaf@gmail.com ) and I will pass on the info to Ken.

" I’m inquiring after an ex 2SQN member by the name of Walter Bubenicek. He was posted to Butterworth from 1966 to around 1975, although I’m unsure if this was with 2SQN at that time. He was in Amberley with the SQN at least until 1981.

I’m currently a serving member (FLTLT) at HQALG Richmond; the reason for my inquiry is a request from my brother in law Max, who has purchased the Norton motorcycle that Walter brought in Butterworth in 1966. Max has now restored the bike and has been able to obtain all the Malaysian rego labels and a certificate of registration from 1981 Amberley. He would like to get some more information on the bikes providence and see if Walter would like to see his old machine again. "
