Hlavacek 96th Birthday

Our 45th Reunion was a great success made even more memorable by our old friend John Hlavacek who was our surprise guest and speaker. He has distinguished himself as an author and journalist and has written extensively about the Vietnam War and his many experiences as a globe trotting reporter. We could not be more proud to have John as a friend and honorary member of the 172nd.

John celebrated his 96th birthday on March 13, 2014 and we decided to help him celebrate the occasion with a presentation of 172nd memorabilia including a Crow Logo cap. We enjoyed some birthday cake and John shared a number of stories from his many assignments in Vietnam. John is the "real deal" with a long list of accomplishments throughout his life.
