Stephanie Caracci
Mrs. Caracci has taught gifted education for grades kindergarten through grade six in Burlington Township for 30 years. In addition to teaching gifted education, beginning in 2000, she has also taught advanced/enriched math with students in early elementary through seventh grade advanced math. She completed her degree in Elementary Education from The College of New Jersey (at the time Trenton State College) in only 3 years and continued her education to earn her Masters of Education in Technology. She additionally holds her Supervisor Certification from Rutgers University. Mrs. Caracci has had the benefit of using a variety of math texts over the years in her class including: Every Day Math, Connected Math, EnVision, My Math and Glencoe Math Accelerated Pre-Algebra.
Mrs. Caracci creates a learning environment in which the students are challenged but feel safe to explore uncharted areas of learning. She maximizes time on task and establishes a climate of trust and teamwork with her students. Her favorite part about teaching is the moment when a student has the transformation from a puzzled expression to the sudden moment of inspiration/comprehension- the Aha Moment!
Besides being a huge Disney fan, Mrs. Caracci's time outside of teaching is spent trying to coordinate family time together, as much as schedules allow (son who is a doctor in Utah, a daughter who is a nurse and military spouse living in Florida, and a very spunky daughter in high school).
