Open to exiting 5th graders who would benefit from a challenging math program
What are the chances you are addicted to math? Does mathematical experimenting seem intriguing? If so, EMITS 5 is for you. Participants in this class will solve interesting challenges while working collaboratively with peers to experiment with probability projects that demonstrate the real-world value of mathematics. Probability plays a part in nearly everything we do in life, whether directly or indirectly. Students will attend two 60 minute classes weekly for three weeks.
Cost: $120 payment may be submitted in cash or check on the day of the student's first class

Open to exiting 5th graders who would benefit from practicing math skills
The program helps students feel secure as they practice exit skills from the fifth grade curriculum while taking a proactive approach to education by introducing the skills taught in the sixth grade curriculum. Topics we will investigate include: factors, multiples, geometry, fractions, decimals, percent, measurement, multi-step problems, and solving puzzles using strategies.
