EMITS 6 EXPLORERS  Melissa King

Tuesday/Thursday 9 AM -10 AM 

Open to exiting 6th graders (from an enriched/advanced math class) 

EMITS Math 6 explorers will be diving more deeply into pre-algebra concepts and building upon basic pre-algebra content discovered within the 6th grade Common Core curriculum.   Areas of exploration include, but are not limited to, operations with integers, complex order of operations problems, solving and graphing multi-step linear equations and a further understanding of slope.  Students will attend two 60 minute classes weekly for three weeks.  

Cost: $120 payment may be submitted in cash or check on the day of the student's first class

Open to exiting 6th graders from a regular 6th grade math curriculum

Tuesday/Thursday 11 AM - NOON 

Topics to be investigated include: word problems, integers, algebraic expressions, combining like terms, solving equations and inequalities, as well as graphing linear functions with a graphing calculator. Use the graphing calculator to expand your knowledge of 6th grade material and preview some 7th grade concepts. Students will attend two 60 minute classes weekly for three weeks.
