Podcasting suites are equipped with microphones, Rodecaster Pro production consoles, and computers with Adobe Audition and other audio editing software to help you record your best audio. Training is required before using the podcasting suite.

The Alden Trust Video Studio offers all the equipment you need to shoot a professional-quality video, including 4K cameras, a teleprompter, microphones, lights, and a green screen. Training is required before using the studio. The Alden Trust Video Studio is available to the whole Simmons Community!

The Media Editing Suite, are equipped with high-powered 27” iMac for editing video, in addition to the same microphones and podcast board as the Podcast Rooms. These rooms provide a quiet space for editing video projects and audio recording from work you have done in the SDMC. Training is required.

Use a Video Editing Suite to spread out your digital workspace over two monitors or record a voice over. The suite offer a professional broadcast microphone and high-powered iMac Pro for editing video. Training is not required, but it can be helpful to make the most out of the tools available to you.

Students who need time to keep editing outside of Lab time can book the Digital Photo Editing suite. There are two stations with the same computers and monitors as the Digital Photo Lab (A-112). You can keep editing while the lab is in use by other classes or work on continuing your prints.
