The Entrepreneurship and Creativity course will provide students with an opportunity to explore the general principles of self-employment, business, advertising, and web design. The activities throughout the course will allow students to see the connection of entrepreneurship towards creating a sustainable livelihood in any career or artistic interest. Students will engage in critical thinking and collaborative experiences, including applying new knowledge and understanding to outline a plan for their own business. After completing this course, students will have developed the skills to create a for-profit or nonprofit business and have built a strong foundation in entrepreneurial thinking, operational procedures, and promotional strategies. Satisfies UC/CSU entry requirements.

This course is designed as an introduction to business management across all functional areas of an organization to meet the needs for a solid understanding of marketing fundamentals to succeed. Marketing allows students to discover customer wants and needs and to gain a solid understanding in creating, advertising and selling products. This course offers all aspects of marketing, from basic economics to employment in the marketing field. Students will learn how marketing affects many aspects of their lives and how they will benefit from understanding it. Students will learn how to apply economic and human resources and marketing functions and foundations to solve business problems and develop competence in such areas as product/service planning, selling, pricing, risk management, promotion and information management. Satisfies UC/CSU entry requirements.

The Marketing Internship course will provide students with an opportunity to explore the general principles of marketing, entrepreneurship, business, management, and career preparation. The activities throughout the course will focus on hands-on experiences, including internship work, job reflection, and career research. Students will collaborate with four departments within the school and engage in project-based learning activities to establish real-word connections. After completing this course, students will have compiled a comprehensive marketing portfolio and have built a strong foundation in marketing practices, communication skills, and critical thinking. Satisfies UC/CSU entry requirements.
