BAGLY: The Boston Alliance of Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgender Youth, is a youth-led, adult-supported social support organization, committed to social justice and creating, sustaining, and advocating for programs, policies, and services for the LGBTQ+ youth community. BAGLY offers drop-in meetings and events, a clinic with STI testing, referral, and healthcare navigation services, mental health services, leadership develpment opportunities, and more.

BATS is a peer-run support group for trans and non-binary adults aged 18+ in the Boston area. Working together for over twelve years, BATS strives to create an inclusive community, provide peer support, and ensure a safe space for trans and non-binary people.

If you are trans (transgender, transsexual, bigender, genderqueer, agender, nonbinary, intersex, questioning, etc.) and would like to learn more about BATS, including how to come to a meeting, please fill out the short form on the website. GLASS operates Drop-In Community Centers for LGBTQ+ youth of color between the ages of 13–25, one in Boston and one in Framingham. Programming includes support groups, educational workshops, social events, access to computers and internet, food, toiletries, clothes, games, and more!

Massachusetts Commission on LGBTQ Youth

The Massachusetts Commission on LGBTQ youth advises others in state government on effective policies, programs, and resources for LGBTQ youth. Their website has resources for HIV/AIDS, Wellness, and Legislation.

MTPC works to ensure the wellbeing, safety, and lived equity of all trans, nonbinary, and gender expansive people in Massachusetts. They provide a variety of resources including supporting folks with updating legal name and/or gender on federal and state documents and access to gender affirming products, garments, and resources at no cost.

Boston Area Friendly Therapy Resources

The Transgender Emergency Fund assists with homelessness prevention, shelter assistance, nutrition assistance, prescription co-pay assistance, transportation and escort to medical appointments, etc. All services are contingent on the availability of funds.

Further Learning

Greater Boston PFLAG is a group of parents, families, friends, and lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer people. They help change attitudes and create an environment of understanding so that LGBTQ family members and friends can live in a world that is safe and inclusive. Greater Boston PFLAG accomplishes this through support, education, and advocacy. Offerings include support groups for caregivers and families, confidential telephone support and information, advocacy, community events, and more.
