SNAP support: GBFB offers assistance with applications for the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), formerly known as food stamps. SNAP benefits are put on an electronic card that is used like an ATM or bank card, and can be used at most supermarkets, convenience stores, and some farmers’ markets.

Fair Foods operates five days a week, distributing food at over 20 sites in churches, schools, public housing, and senior centers across Boston. Through the $2 bag program, get a bag with over twelve pounds of mixed fresh produce. Items range from fresh spinach, mangoes, potatoes, and more. Fair Foods has no eligibility requirements, no registration, and no ID checks. Take as many bags as you need for yourself, friends, or family. Come even if you don’t have money; they have never turned anyone away!
