Dear Musical Theatre Club students and parents,
I'd like to receive your next and, hopefully, final recording by Tuesday, May 26. Use the rehearsal track #12 below to practice and record your video. If needed, please review the guidelines (under 5/6/20 homework). The most important thing to remember - enunciate all words and smile throughout.
Good luck!

Dear Musical Theatre Club students and parents,
The video recording is due this Monday, May 11 - as our first attempt:)
Please follow these guidelines while making the video recording -
Use neutral background (bare wall, door, et cetera. No pictures or furniture cluttering the view).
Wear solid color top without pictures or words. Nothing should distract from your face.
Your camera should be positioned on your eye level and you should be looking directly at it, not up or down.
4. If possible, record while standing. If not - sitting down (with good posture) is fine.
5. Remember to use headphones while recording.
6. You can use the rehearsal track #12 instead of the accompaniment track #12, if it helps you with all musical cues and allows you to sing on pitch.
7. Before recording, please practice your part with my audio files (see below under 4/29/20 homework assignment).
8. IMPORTANT - even though you're only singing 2 sections of the song, you're suppose to record the entire song. During the sections you're not singing, still look straight into the camera and smile..
9. Remember to enunciate all your words.
10. Be confident and keep smiling throughout.
11. Enjoy yourself! It's suppose to be a memorable and fun project.
Good luck!

Dear students,
Please use the form "Beautiful Music" (on the bottom of my webpage) to complete your weekly homework assignments. It's 1 weekly activity for Kindergarten and 1st grade, 2 for 3rd grade, 3 for 4th and 5th grades and 4 for 6th, 7th and 8th grade. It's due EVERY Wednesday by 8am. Every week I'm adding new links. Please remember to check it out!
The Musical Theatre Club students ,
Please use audio files below to practice your part for the upcoming video. You're expected to memorize your part (music, words and timing) and be able to perform it smiling and looking confidently at the camera. IMPORTANT - when recording, please make sure to listen to the accompaniment track (or the rehearsal track, if it makes it easier for you) USING HEADPHONES. So, you'll be able to hear music while recording, but the accompaniment is not heard by anyone but you. Please review my directions from 4/22/20 for more detailed instructions.

Dear students and parents,
The Musical Theatre Club students should be gearing up to make a video of "Love Is an Open Door". The video will be recorded by you at your home with each student singing individually with the accompaniment track. Then Mr. Fortini will put it together as we're performing it in the same physical space. In order for this project to be succesful and not extremely time consuming, students should do the following -
This song is a duet for Anna and Hans. So Ariella and Yaakov are the only students singing the entire song. The rest of the "Frozen " cast will be singing the following measures only - 16 through 23 ( please don't sing " With You" in measures 21 and 22) and 36 until the end (please don't sing "With You" in measures 41 and 42).
Students should practice with the rehearsal track (#12), paying particular attention of singing the correct notes (group 1 sings the top line - higher notes, group 2 sings the bottom line - lower notes, the timing is slightly different also for both groups)
After students feel comfortable with the melody, rhythm, words and timing, they should practice it with the accompaniment track (#12).
The last step is for students to record themselves singing with the accompaniment track and listen back for self assessment. If desired, students can ask their parents and/or siblings for feedback.
If necessary, please repeat steps 2 through 4.
