 Hello from Mrs. McCauley

"Have patience with all things, but first of all with yourself." - St. Francis de Sales

This week we celebrated Read Across America by dressing up as our favorite book characters on Monday and each classroom did different activities. Take a look at the pictures below!

Thank you to everyone that went to A&W on Tuesday to support our school! Stay tuned as our Home and School group will try to do an event like this once a month.

We have some fun events coming up at St. Sebastian STEM Academy! Read about our Pi Day Penny Wars and Easter Egg Hunt below.

Have a great weekend everyone and thank you for all you do to support our school! Remember, there is no school next Friday, March 15th.

Pics of the Week

Student of the Week

Our student of the week this week is Leo from our 4K classroom! Leo is kind, compassionate, and a good friend.  He also loves learning in the classroom. We are so blessed to have him as part of our St. Sebastian STEM Academy family.

Spotlight on STEM!

3K This week 3K finished up our pushes / pulls lesson by cutting and separating 6 activities up into pushes(pink) and pulls(green).  After discussing what they remembered from Friday, we glued each activity into the correct box.  3K also completed two different Art projects in honor of Dr. Suess stories.  They sponge painted red and blue fish on Monday, which were completed and added to Ms. Lori's fish bowl on Tuesday.  On Wednesday, we used brushes to paint the crazy hair of Thing 1 and Thing 2.  We will finish these puppets up on Friday when we add the final touch of a 1 or 2.

4K This week we played hide and seek using directional words from our PLTW coding unit. 4K also reviewed seeds by taste testing different fruits and vegetables that started off as seeds.

5K  This week K5 explored the connection between addition and subtraction in Math. In Art with K4 we painted with potatoes. In Science this week we have been keeping track of the daily weather.
