St. Sebastian's Weekly Newsletter

St. Sebastian STEM Academy is a Catholic School community that models Jesus’s  love, faith, kindness and compassion toward each other while working together to solve problems in order to make a difference in our community and world.

October 20, 2023

 Hello from Mrs. McCauley

Lord, make me an instrument of your peace.
Where there is hatred, let me sow love;
where there is injury, pardon;
where there is doubt, faith;
where there is despair, hope;
where there is darkness, light;
and where there is sadness, joy.

O Divine Master, grant that I may not so much seek
to be consoled as to console;
to be understood as to understand;
to be loved as to love.
For it is in giving that we receive;
it is in pardoning that we are pardoned;
and it is in dying that we are born to eternal life.

Amen.

Brendan from 5K was selected as our student of the week this week! He is kind, a gentle friend to everyone, and a great leader within the school. You can always find him smiling and willing to help anyone out within the school. We are so blessed to have him as part of our St. Sebastian STEM Academy family!

Pics of the Week!

Spotlight on STEM!

3K We investigated germs this week and looked under a black light to see their dirty hands vs. clean hands.

4K We are studying and examining animal homes.

5K In Ampfly this week we started with our 5 senses.  We learned how an echo works while on the front porch. In PLTW we investigated friction by pulling cubes of different textures across different surfaces. We even went outside to explore the difference between grass and concrete!
