Winter Weather Safety Tips

1. Prioritize Your Safety Above All

Safety is Veho’s highest priority. If you feel road conditions are unsafe due to snow or ice while delivering, we recommend staying off the road until the weather and road conditions improve. If you are unable to finish your route due to unsafe conditions, please contact support in the Veho Driver App.

2. Adjust Your Driving to Winter Conditions

Slow down to adapt to the lower traction on snowy or icy roads and maintain ample distance from other vehicles so you have additional reaction time. In the case of snowmelt, avoid flooded or blocked areas.

3. Vehicle Readiness is Key

Ensure your vehicle has a full tank of gas, topped-up wiper fluid, and is equipped with a snow brush and ice scraper. If you're in a snow-prone area, consider fitting your vehicle with snow tires for enhanced safety.

4. Stay Informed About the Weather

Weather conditions can change rapidly. Keep an eye on weather reports and plan your routes accordingly. Being informed helps you make the best decisions for your safety.

5. Watch for updates from Veho

Veho monitors weather conditions closely and will provide timely updates on operations, including any delays or closures. In order to receive the latest information, make sure you have push notifications enabled, are opted in to email and sms notifications from Veho, and can receive emails from support@shipveho.com.
