The QuickPit LED lights serve two primary purposes: The primary purpose is safety for the technicians as adequate lighting is imperative. The lighting is installed under the rails and illuminates the pit floor; with the walls being covered with diamond plate aluminum, the light is easily reflected all through the pit. The second purpose of the lighting is to be able to see the underside of the vehicle above.
In this photo, the technicians are in the pit with a vehicle overtop. Notice how well the lighting works in lighting up the space where natural or bay lighting cannot reach. You can easily see the details of the bottom side of the vehicle. If more lighting is needed, then a LED headlamp can be used.
Installing the LED Light Modules
The extra-bright LED Lighting modules are powered by 24v Low-Voltage power and install under the pit rails. They are designed to shine down at the floor and reflect off of the pit walls and then back up, illuminating the pit.
LED Light Modules Turned On
The light modules are powered by a power-supply box mounted to the wall at the rear of the bay, between the bays. We use low-voltage LED lighting which prevents having to install 110v in the pit, requiring explosion-proof sockets, which are expensive.
