Visual Phonics
What is Visual Phonics? Visual Phonics is a Multi-Sensory approach to identify letter names and hearing their sounds. It is a system of 46 unique hand cues. Visual phonics includes sounds commonly referred to as vowels consonants, dipthongs, and digraphs. I will be using Visual Phonics with your child this year. I encourage you to learn the signs too. Check out the YouTube link to the right to learn the signs for each sound.
Letter Name, Letter Sound
LNFComicSans.ppsOn the "Which Letter is it?" Click on the upper right corner to open up the slide. Once the document is open you will need to click the middle drop down menu to select open with, choose slide. Then you will need to click on the tab view and select present. Have fun practicing your letter names and sounds. You may want to set a timer for one minute to see how many you can get through before the time is up. You could also race against your mom and dad or brother or sister. Make it a game and keep score! How ever you decide to practice just make sure you're having fun!
Monster Mansion Match
Click on the rectangle below that says Letter Monster Mansion. This is a fun game to practice both letter names and letter sounds.
