Robots vs Employment

There are many positives and negatives to robots, as you could imagine, but what is their impact on jobs? Robots have proved to be much more efficient than humans doing jobs- yet are they replacing us, or merely helping?

Replacing

Some say robots are assisting us throughout our careers, but is this the case? With more advanced technology, companies could simply replace their employees with robots who could speed up the delivery rate. They could also get robots to do the simpler jobs, such as collecting trash or cleaning workspaces. This would reduce the employment rates and more people will remain without jobs. Those who are not fortunate enough to have had a good education will find it hard to have jobs, since the robots are already doing the lower class careers.

Helping

Robots can be a great way to help humans throughout the course of their careers. We use robots throughout our everyday lives (computers, phones etc) so even the robots of the highest tech are not capable of replacing us. Robots depend on human beings (for now) so replacing humans won't help as such, since robots are not capable of doing everything by themselves.
