Contact Your School Counselor

School counselors respect your right to privacy. This means that what you share with your school counselor is kept confidential unless one of the following situations occurs:

• You give permission for your counselor to share information.

• There is concern that you or someone else may be at risk of harm, such as thoughts of suicide, self-harm, abuse, or neglect.

• The law requires information to be shared, such as in response to a court order or subpoena.
