The Community Services Office is responsible for the coordination of:
Use of Facilities - The district's school buildings and grounds are maintained primarily for the purpose of educating students and supporting school-related activities within the district. However, we realize that they are a valuable community resource that should be available for specific uses that will not interfere with school activities.
Shenendehowa's Bountiful Backpack Program - Shenendehowa's K-12 Bountiful Backpack program is a partnership with the Regional Food Bank of NENY designed to meet the needs of hungry children at times when other resources are not available, especially on weekends. The program provides backpacks filled with food that is child-friendly, shelf-stable and easily-consumed. Shenendehowa’s Bountiful Backpack program is funded entirely by local donations.
Friends of Shen Volunteer Program provides an opportunity for Capital Region adults to volunteer in our schools and provide a valuable resource to our local elementary and secondary school age youth. Please become a Friend of Shen and help augment our dedicated parent base. Our schools are seeking folks from all walks of life, from college students to senior citizens. Our students would love to have you share your experiences, special interests and talents with them! Every effort will be made to match volunteer's interests with our students' needs. Make a difference in a child's life!

The Board of Education recognizes that a school volunteer program is an important support to the District’s instructional programs and extracurricular activities. Parents/legal guardians and community residents have much to contribute to students’ learning and full involvement in school.
