Students in Reading Encore develop skills and strategies that compliment work in English 8. Areas of focus could include reading comprehension, fluency, vocabulary, phonics, and/or phonemic awareness, in addition to writing composition, expression, usage, and/or mechanics. Course content is developed and organized in response to student needs, as determined by literacy assessments. Students continue developing the skills and strategies needed to perform on grade level.
