Induction Day
Please note: Attendance at this online event is a COURSE REQUIREMENT
You are expected to attend the online induction meeting between 13:00 - 15:00 on Monday 1st September. This will give you an opportunity to meet fellow course participants, course tutors and ask any questions you may have. This event will be hosted on our online virtual learning environment, Blackboard. You will receive details to your University email address about how you join this event. This email comes direct from Student Recruitment at the University, please check any junk/spam folders if you have not received it.
Module 1 - Effective Learning and Teaching
Pre-study day 1 activity to complete
After the induction day and prior to attending the first Module 1 study day, we would like for you to complete a brief activity. We would like for you to think about and come prepared to discuss a teaching / learning activity or session you have facilitated in the following terms:
brief overview of the context (learners, setting, time available)
how you wanted the learners to be different by the end of the session
how you hoped the session would achieve that change
Study days
After the induction day, you will be starting Module 1 through attending the study days (see details below). These details will also be sent to you on your University email address prior to the study days.
Module 1 study days are as follows:
Study day 1: Tuesday 09 September, 09:30 - 16:30
Study day 2: Tuesday 16 September, 09:30 - 16:30
Note: We will be starting at 09:30 prompt on both days. Parking is always an issue around campus so please leave enough time to find parking and get to the venue.
