Blackboard is the online hub for your learning on the course. You will find resources, activities, discussions and details of your assessment in Blackboard. To access Blackboard, log into the University of Sheffield website, click on "My Services" and then Blackboard. This video shows how to access Blackboard and also gives a whistlestop tour of its main features.
For more information on Blackboard at the University of Sheffield, including how to submit assignments and more (though there's no need to worry about that yet!), go to the "Blackboard for students" page on the University website.
The module spaces have the name of the relevant module. Initially only 'Effective Learning And Teaching' will be available. Module 2 and 3 will appear when the next module is due to start. Each of the modules is dedicated to your study of that module and is where you should go to participate in learning activities, and access learning resources.
We use Turnitin online submission for all assignments. This is an online service paid for by the University which allows us to check work for "unfair means" (usually failing to cite sources properly rather than deliberate cheating).
Turnitin also allows us to mark your work anonymously and fairly and give structured feedback relating to the learning outcomes of the assignment. Each module's learning outcomes are available in that module's The learning outcomes for each module will be available in that module's space on Blackboard.
You will find information about assessment procedures in your Programme Handbook.
Each module will have a "Module Assessment, Assignment Submission and Feedback" area containing information about that module's assignment along with relevant Turnitin submission links (when the time comes!).
