Overall course aim

• We aim to develop you as 'effective and theoretically informed medical educators'

How we help you achieve this aim

1. We develop your knowledge, skills and confidence with:

   • a wide variety of learning, teaching, assessment and curriculum practices; and

   • academic writing

2. We help you develop your learning through the application of concepts to your own context, interests and work settings

3. We provide opportunities for you to develop networks and communities of practice with fellow participants

4. We help you to develop your professional recognition. To achieve this, the course is accredited by the Academy of Medical Educators

   • • Successful completion of the course provides you with the opportunity to apply to be recognised at Membership or Fellowship level

     • Recognition at Member and Fellowship level provides you with the following post-nominal letters: 

       • Member: MAcadMEd

       • Fellow: FAcadMEd

     • You also receive 12 months free Associate Membership while studying. Application details are on the Professional Recognition page of the Course Handbook
