EDI Case Studies

The DiCE (Diversity Confidence in Engineering) project was born from the Royal Academy of Engineering’s new Diversity Impact Programme, which has awarded grants to engineering departments aiming to address the unequal outcomes experienced by students from diverse and underrepresented groups.

One of the aims of the project is to develop case studies that can be used to demonstrate the importance of seeking diverse perspectives and working with diverse teams to current and prospective students.

We would also like to highlight examples of successful role models working in industry and academia to minority students with similar identities to improve their aspirations and expectations.

We are particularly keen to hear from people who are from a minority ethnic background, neurodivergent, female or LGBTQ+. We would also like to hear from individuals who work with colleagues that identify with a minoritised group and who can describe how their work has been improved by working with people who have different backgrounds and perspectives.

If you wish to contribute to the development of these case studies, please read the participant information sheet and complete the Case Study Form. This form should take no longer than 15 minutes to complete.
