Diversity Confidence in Engineering (DiCE)
The Vision
The Royal Academy of Engineering Diversity Impact Programme presents a future vision for equal education and career outcomes for all students regardless of diversity characteristics. However, currently, we are challenged by our limited understanding of issues outside of the formal curriculum that prevent a sense of belonging for all of our students.

Our DiCE Project
Our project builds on issues identified by student-led inclusivity projects around group work, personal tutorials and other aspects of academic community.
Through this work, ultimately we aim to support equal education and fulfilling career outcomes for all students, regardless of diversity characteristics, and graduates who contribute to shaping a more equal industry and society. We aim to achieve this through various activities involving:
Developing a framework for student development from new student to graduate Engineer, developing diversity confidence and inclusive working
Developing an inclusive and diversity-confident academic community and learning environment.
Developing a more inclusive and effective approach to designing, facilitating and assessing group work
