If you are working on a specific project - you can sign up for a free trial for any/all of the Adobe Creative Cloud programmes.
REMEMBER that after a free trial it may automatically charge you for using the software, especially if you have had to put in your card details. Set a reminder to make sure you cancel the subscription before it charges you.

Here we have found some creative programmes that are free to download and use, which can serve as alternatives to our most commonly used Adobe Programmes.
The programmes that require downloading are internationally renowned & reputable . Please only download these programmes from the link that we have provided, and ensure that your anti-virus software is up to date.
iMovie
VIDEO EDITING
iMovie is a free Video Editing Software known for it's ease of use & ability to make quick and clean video edits. It is developed specifically for Mac products - and can now be used on your iPhone & iPad.
Most Mac Computers have iMovie pre-installed. If not, follow this link to download iMovie from the Apple Website, or search for it in the App Store.
Windows Video editor
VIDEO EDITING
All Windows 10 computers have the Video Editor programme pre-installed. Similar to iMovie, this programme allows you to make quick and easy video edits.
This programme can be found by typing Video Editor into your search bar. It's known for being well-hidden in your computer - most people don't even know that it's there!
DAvinci resolve
VIDEO EDITING
If you are looking to create a more complex Video Editing project, DaVinci Resolve is a renowned, professional-standard video editing software that is completely free to download and use.
Keep in mind that there is a learning curve to using this kind of software. Unless you have used a non-linear video editor before (such as Adobe Premier), you might need to invest time in an online course such as this one on LinkedIn Learning.
DaVinci is available to download here & is available for both Mac & Windows.
Audacity
AUDIO EDITING
Audacity is popular multi-track audio editor and recorder available on Windows & Mac computers. If you have used an Audio Editor such as Adobe Audition before, you will likely find the format familiar. If not, there are online courses like this one on LinkedIn that are great for beginners who want to learn some basic editing skills.
Developed by a group of volunteers as open source. It can be found in the Windows Store, or it is free to download and use from this link.

DRAWING TOOL
This is a great online tool that can serve as a free alternative to Adobe Illustrator. With this you can create Scalable Vector Graphic files, with a good range of basic tools: including pens, bezier curves, text, basic shapes, stroke and fill, layers, ability to add type, groups, transforms and paths. Files can be exported to your device under most standard image formats (jpeg, png, gif, pdf).

photopea
PHOTO EDITING
Photopea is a free image editor, which looks and functions very similar to Adobe Photoshop. It is entirely browser-based meaning you don't have to download it - and has all of the features and tools that you would normally find in Photoshop. It is also Photoshop compatible - meaning that you can save/open Photoshop files, as well as all standard image formats.
