Camps are based on the grade the student is currently in. Camps will be filled with SCSD students and Southgate residents attending parocial schools in Southgate first.
Free summer programming is provided this week from 8:00 to 4:00. Check in and breakfast begin at 8:00. North Pointe Camps run from 8:30-1:30 for current GSRP - current 3rd Grade. Davidson Middle School Camps for current 4th Graders - current 8th Graders run from 8:45 - 1:45. In addition, all campers are encouraged to take part in our Exploration Stations immediately after camp until 3:30 each day. This is an extra opportunity where we amplify students' strengths through high interest activities including STEM, art, music, sports, and special visitors. You will be given a choice to sign up for Exploration Station during registration. Pick-up is from 3:30- 4:00.
Before and After Care Latchkey at North Pointe is availble for a small fee and you can indicate this during registration. If you are attending camps at Davidson and wish to attend latchkey, you will be transported by Southgate School bus to and from North Pointe. If you are interested in full day latchkey during the weeks when camp is not in session, registration is available on the district website or contact April Roberts - robertsa1@sgate.k12.mi.us.
Meet Up and Eat Up will provide breakfast and lunch each day. Students can start receiving breakfast at 8:00am.

Travel Around the World Camp takes campers on a fun adventure across the globe! Each day, campers will “visit” a new country and discover its music, food, animals, and traditions through stories, crafts, games, creative activities and language exploration. Young travelers will learn about different cultures while using their imaginations to explore faraway places. Travel Around the World Camp is a joyful way for curious kids to discover our big, amazing world—no passport required!
Get ready for a bubbly good time at Bubbles & Bluey Camp! This playful camp is full of silly fun, imagination, and friendship. Campers will enjoy bubble experiments, outdoor bubble games, crafts, and activities inspired by everyone’s favorite blue pup, Bluey. Through stories, music, movement, and creative play, kids will explore teamwork, kindness, and lots of giggles. It’s a joyful week of popping bubbles, making friends, and having fun together! This camp is offered week 2 and 3 so please choose 1 week only.
Are you up to the challenge? Use your mind and body to compete in this high-energy camp with obstacle courses, team challenges, and cooperative games that promote movement, confidence, and healthy habits.
Do you have a green thumb? This fun camp lets students engage their artistic side while they learn about concepts like experimentation, seeds, and planting.

Creative Arts is a hands-on camp focused on painting, music, dance, and dramatic play. Students rotate through creative stations and end the week with a mini art show or performance to showcase their talents.
Money, Money, Money! is a hands-on adventure to learn about coins and bills! Campers will practice identifying different types of money, counting coins and bills, and making “purchases” through fun games and activities. Kids will build math skills, gain confidence with money, and have a blast while learning to count, sort, and use money in everyday situations! This is a key math standard in 2nd grade.
Shhhh! Do you want to know a secret that will help with reading and spelling? Come to this camp. We will use the Secret Stories program that strengthens phonics and decoding skills. Each day will focus on specific sound patterns and spelling rules. There will be quick mini-lessons and fun activities such as being word-detectives and decoders.
Exotic Animal Camp takes campers on a wild adventure around the world! Campers will discover amazing animals from rainforests, deserts, jungles, and oceans while learning fun facts about how these creatures live, eat, and survive in their habitats. Through hands-on activities, crafts, games, and animal-themed challenges, students will explore everything from colorful parrots to slithering snakes and powerful big cats. Exotic Animal Camp is the perfect place for curious kids who love animals and want to become true wildlife explorers! This camp is offered week 1 and week 3 so please choose only 1 week.
Play games, cards, and do puzzles to learn problem solving skills, logic, and strategic thinking while improving literacy and math skills. Playing games with friends fosters teamwork and grows social skills while having a blast.

Women in Sports Leadership Camp is an engaging and empowering experience designed to inspire girls and young women to grow as confident leaders through sports. Participants will explore leadership skills such as teamwork, communication, goal-setting, and self-confidence while learning from female coaches, athletes, and leaders. Through interactive activities, group discussions, and hands-on sports experiences, campers will build leadership skills they can use both on and off the field.
Let’s jump in our Time Machine and spend each day traveling to the past! Campers will learn about the Earth during different time periods through stories, art, and science. Travel to the time of Dinosaurs. Sail to Ancient Greece with Odysseus. Ride into the Middle Ages like a Knight in Shining Armour. Discover the Tombs of Ancient Egypt.
Welcome to Yuck! Gross! Camp—where the messier and grosser, the better! Kids will dive into a week of slimy, sticky, and surprisingly fascinating activities as they explore the science behind all things yucky. Campers might make fake snot, learn about germs and bacteria, create ooey-gooey experiments, and discover why some of the grossest things are actually pretty cool. It’s the perfect camp for curious kids who love to say “Ewww!” while learning and laughing along the way.
Come have fun with Coding and Robots! This camp will focus on teamwork, planning, design, problem solving, and building with various STEM materials for upper elementary.
