Camps are based on the grade the student is currently in. Camps will be filled with SCSD students and Southgate residents attending parocial schools in Southgate first.
Free summer programming is provided this week from 8:00 to 4:00. Check in and breakfast begin at 8:00. North Pointe Camps run from 8:30-1:30 for current GSRP - current 3rd Grade. Davidson Middle School Camps for current 4th Graders - current 8th Graders run from 8:45 - 1:45. In addition, all campers are encouraged to take part in our Exploration Stations immediately after camp until 3:30 each day. This is an extra opportunity where we amplify students' strengths through high interest activities including STEM, art, music, sports, and special visitors. You will be given a choice to sign up for Exploration Station during registration. Pick-up is from 3:30- 4:00.
Before and After Care Latchkey at North Pointe is availble for a small fee and you can indicate this during registration. If you are attending camps at Davidson and wish to attend latchkey, you will be transported by Southgate School bus to and from North Pointe. If you are interested in full day latchkey during the weeks when camp is not in session, registration is available on the district website or contact April Roberts - robertsa1@sgate.k12.mi.us.
Meet Up and Eat Up will provide breakfast and lunch each day. Students can start receiving breakfast at 8:00am.

This camp will foster a love of nature in children through hands-on activities, outdoor adventures, and learning about the natural world. They will take nature walks and observe the world around them. Campers will engage in stories and art and craft projects inspired by nature.

Team Up! Play, learn, and explore! Campers will dive into sports, Olympic fun, and team challenges while boosting reading, math, and creativity through games, crafts, and stories. Join us for teamwork, excitement, and skills that score big!
At Playdough Camp, imagination is the key! Kids will sculpt and create art but the fun doesn’t stop there. Playdough is also a tool to help us read, write, and do math! We will make our own Playdough and play games too. The possibilities are endless! This camp is offered week 4 and 5, please choose 1 week only.
Young Engineers Camp is an engaging enrichment experience where your child will learn and apply math, STEM, and science through fun, hands-on, engineering activities. Campers will learn basic coding, robotics, and engineering concepts throughout the week. This camp is offered week 1, 3, and 5. Please choose only 1 week.
Are you up to the challenge? Use your mind and body to compete in this high-energy camp with obstacle courses, team challenges, and cooperative games that promote movement, confidence, and healthy habits.
Campers will learn what it’s like to be a zookeeper as they discover animals from around the world and the habitats they call home. Through stories, crafts, games, and hands-on activities, kids will explore how zookeepers care for animals, prepare food, and keep them healthy. It’s a roaring good time for curious little animal explorers!

At STEM-tastic Science Camp, students will spend a week exploring the exciting world of science through hands-on experiments, engineering challenges, and problem-solving activities. Campers will learn about famous scientists and their discoveries. Each day, students will engage in interactive STEM activities—like building structures, testing chemical reactions, or designing simple machines— in a fun, discovery-filled environment.
Let’s unplug and get outside! Campers learn basic naturalist skills, such as sensory observation, inquiry, and identifying plants and animals Camps incorporate a variety of hands-on activities, including crafting with natural materials, building shelters, or engaging in nature-themed games.
Figure It Out Camp is perfect for curious campers who love a challenge! Campers will tackle brainteasers, logic puzzles, and quick “minute mysteries” while practicing problem-solving, teamwork, and creative thinking. It’s a fun way to stretch those brains and figure things out together!

Advanced Chess camp is the perfect camp for campers who have some basic experience with this competitive game and want to learn more. Chess is an exciting game that you can play your whole life. Campers who have not already received a chess set will receive one to take home with them.
Students will learn basic economic concepts by creating and running their own small “stores.” Each camper designs a product, sets prices, earns fake money, and makes decisions about spending and saving throughout the week. This camp is offered week 2 and week 5, please choose only 1 week.

¡Bienvenidos al campamento! We will learn a little about the Spanish language and culture, including dances, crafts, games, and food from different Spanish-speaking countries.
