Camps are based on the grade the student is currently in. Camps will be filled with SCSD students and Southgate residents attending parocial schools in Southgate first.
Free summer programming is provided this week from 8:00 to 4:00. Check in and breakfast begin at 8:00. North Pointe Camps run from 8:30-1:30 for current GSRP - current 3rd Grade. Davidson Middle School Camps for current 4th Graders - current 8th Graders run from 8:45 - 1:45. In addition, all campers are encouraged to take part in our Exploration Stations immediately after camp until 3:30 each day. This is an extra opportunity where we amplify students' strengths through high interest activities including STEM, art, music, sports, and special visitors. You will be given a choice to sign up for Exploration Station during registration. Pick-up is from 3:30- 4:00.
Before and After Care Latchkey at North Pointe is availble for a small fee and you can indicate this during registration. If you are attending camps at Davidson and wish to attend latchkey, you will be transported by Southgate School bus to and from North Pointe. If you are interested in full day latchkey during the weeks when camp is not in session, registration is available on the district website or contact April Roberts - robertsa1@sgate.k12.mi.us.
Meet Up and Eat Up will provide breakfast and lunch each day. Students can start receiving breakfast at 8:00am.

Each day, campers will explore a new story through read-alouds, imaginative play, crafts, and fun activities inspired by beloved characters and magical worlds. Children will build creativity, early literacy skills, and a love of reading while acting out stories, creating art, and going on playful “adventures” with friends. Storybook Adventures is a joyful place where young readers can discover that every book is a doorway to a new adventure! This camp is offered week 1 and 2 so please choose only 1 week.
3, 2, 1, Blast Off Space Explorers! Campers will explore the idea of space and space exploration through read alouds, songs, videos, games and crafts. . We will learn about famous astronauts like Neil Armstrong, Mae Jemison, and Ellen Ochoa and their work among the Cosmos!
Get ready for a bubbly good time at Bubbles & Bluey Camp! This playful camp is full of silly fun, imagination, and friendship. Campers will enjoy bubble experiments, outdoor bubble games, crafts, and activities inspired by everyone’s favorite blue pup, Bluey. Through stories, music, movement, and creative play, kids will explore teamwork, kindness, and lots of giggles. It’s a joyful week of popping bubbles, making friends, and having fun together! This camp is offered week 2 and 3 so please choose 1 week only.
Create and Play is a hands-on camp focused on painting, music, dance, and dramatic play. Students rotate through creative stations and end the week with a mini art show or performance to showcase their talents.
Dino Discovery Camp is a roaring good time for explorers! Campers will travel back to the age of dinosaurs to learn about these amazing prehistoric creatures through stories, crafts, games, and hands-on activities. Young paleontologists discover different dinosaurs, and explore how they lived long ago. With imagination, creativity, and plenty of dino-sized fun, this camp is perfect for kids who love dinosaurs!

Do you have a green thumb? This fun camp lets students engage their artistic side while they learn about concepts like experimentation, seeds, and planting.
Students will learn basic economic concepts by creating and running their own small “stores.” Each camper designs a product, sets prices, earns fake money, and makes decisions about spending and saving throughout the week. This camp is offered week 2 and week 5, please choose only 1 week.
Come have fun with Coding and Robots! This camp will focus on teamwork, planning, design, problem solving, and building with various STEM materials. This camp is offered enrichment weeks 2, 3, and 4. Please choose 1 week only.
Campers will learn what it’s like to be a zookeeper as they discover animals from around the world and the habitats they call home. Through stories, crafts, games, and hands-on activities, kids will explore how zookeepers care for animals, prepare food, and keep them healthy. It’s a roaring good time for curious animal explorers!
Students will engage in half day music and half day art to learn about the elements of hip hop: Rapping, Djaying, Break Dancing, and Graffiti. Each day of the week we will explore a new element of hip-hop and work towards 1 piece of music as well as 2 pieces of art following the styles of DJ Kool Herc and Jean-Michel Basquiat.

Lights, camera, action! Step into the spotlight for a week full of creativity, imagination, and fun. Campers will learn the basics of acting, dancing, stage movement, singing, and teamwork while playing theater games and practicing their performance skills. Throughout the week, students will work together to prepare a short play, and families are invited to a special performance on Friday afternoon to see their young actors shine on stage! You must attend all 5 days. The play you will perform is Finding Nemo- Kids.
Galaxy Explorers Camp invites campers on an exciting journey through the universe! They will explore planets, stars, and galaxies through hands-on experiments, creative projects, and interactive space missions. Young explorers will learn how astronauts live in space, and work together to solve cosmic challenges. With science, teamwork, and plenty of imagination, Galaxy Explorers Camp is the perfect place for curious kids to discover the wonders of our universe and become true space adventurers!
Develop strategic thinking, logic, and problem solving skills while playing a variety of the newest and best board games, puzzles, card games, and interactive activities with friends. Working together fosters teamwork and grows social skills while having a blast. Try your hand at creating a new game or puzzle. This camp is offered week 2 and 5, please choose only 1 week.
This Camp is a hands-on experience that helps kids build confidence and independence in the kitchen. Campers will learn how to follow simple recipes, measure ingredients, use basic kitchen tools safely, and prepare easy, kid-friendly meals and snacks. The camp encourages creativity, healthy choices, and the skills kids need to cook more independently at home.
Get ready for a week of messy, explosive fun at Boom! Splat! Camp! Designed for curious young scientists, this camp lets students explore the exciting world of chemistry through safe, hands-on experiments and demonstrations. Campers will mix colorful reactions, create bubbling concoctions, and discover the science behind fizzing, popping, and splatting experiments. It’s the perfect camp for kids who love to ask “What happens if we mix this with that?”

Moneyball Academy is a high-energy summer camp where students become sports analysts and general managers by using real statistics to draft and manage their own teams. Camps will analyze player data, compare performance metrics, and make strategic decisions while learning how math is used in real-world sports. Campers read articles, interpret charts, write draft justifications, and debate team choices. Engagement stays high through mock drafts, trade negotiations, fantasy-style competitions, and daily challenges that connect averages, ratios, percentages, and data analysis to the sports students love.
