Hate Crime Advocacy & Empowerment
Hate Crime involves any criminal offence which is perceived by the victim, or any other person, to be motivated by hostility or prejudice based on a personal characteristic. Hate crime can be motivated by disability, gender identity, race, sexual orientation, religion or faith. All hate crimes should be reported using Newport's Official Hate Crime Report portal.
Available to those living in Gwent, our professional advocacy service provides information, support, advice and guidance to victims of hate crime, empowering them to make informed decisions.
We encourage victims to report all forms of hate crime immediately. We work with partner organisations to secure the best outcome for victims, and work with communities to defeat hate crime.
If you have a hate incident to report, or have been a victim of a hate crime yourself, please contact us.
