ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Mikaela Fitzpatrick graduated from SHU in May 2021 with a double major in English and Communication. She was part of SHU's Honors Program. She says that writing has helped shape who she is as a person, and she hopes her literacy narrative illustrates this passion and encourages others to indulge in it as well. Mikaela is currently pursuing a M.F.A. in Creative Writing at Emerson College.
