Ensure all the correct cables are plugged into your monitor. There should only ever be two (2) cables plugged in at any given time - one video cable and one power source. Refer to the list of video cables below.
If you have more than two (2) cables plugged into either or both of your monitors, please refer to the setup guides on proper monitor and equipment setup.
Unplug the video cable directly from the monitor that connects the monitor to the dock. Wait five heartbeats then plug it back in. Repeat process for second monitor if necessary.
Unplug the power source (the cable that plugs into your powerstrip and/or wall outlet). Wait five heartbeats then plug it back in.
Turn off the Auto-Detect Input Source feature on your monitors (see instructions below).
Ensure all required Windows updates are complete.
Locate your Windows search bar ("Type here to search" or a magnifying glass) on the bottom-left corner of your laptop screen.
Search "Check for Updates". Open.
Click the "Check for Updates" button under the "Windows Update" header.
Install any required updates - do not install any optional updates.
