Submit an Application for R&D and Local Projects Review
At this point in the process, JA USA will check in with you so we can help you with any finishing touches before implementation.
Step 1: Application
JA Areas use the local project application to share locally created materials (source files) with JA USA. These files are submitted electronically. JA Areas will be notified by email when an application has been successfully submitted in the online system.
Be sure to keep the deadlines in mind. A peer review committee reviews applications for alignment with the established guidelines.
To ensure adequate time for review and follow-up with the JA Area as needed, and to provide sufficient time for JA Area implementation following approval, these deadlines are firm:
Fall semester: October 15
Spring semester: April 30
At this checkpoint you'll get advice from leaders in our network to help your project succeed and get into production! We'll be your extra set of eyes, making sure you've dotted all your i's and crossed all your t's before your project moves on to the pilot stage.
Goals:
Find out if your project is ready to be tested with as many as 10% of the students in your area. During the Project Checkpoint review, you'll receive feedback that you can use to make sure your project is ready for a pilot test (also called an R&D project).
Get support from colleagues to make sure your idea has a high chance of success, meets brand guidelines, avoids legal and insurance problems, fits with JA's mission, and hasn't already been tested and launched in another area.
Tips:
Think of this process as expanding your innovation team. This is a great way to increase the likelihood of your project's success.
Go back to the feedback you received after you submitted your initial idea and make sure you've integrated all of those ideas into your project.
Preview the form's questions here, before you move over to Bizapps to submit your idea.
