Art with Meredith

Hi Everyone! Every other week I will be uploading new ideas for some fun art projects to do at home! Any of these projects can be adjusted to use whatever supplies you may have at home, feel free to be as creative as you want and just have some fun! If you have any questions, please reach out to me at mmcgrail@seemcollaborative.org - I would also love to see your artwork so send me a picture!

These two cats have been very happy that I have been home the past weeks! The cat on the left is Jade and the lady on the right sitting in my bag is Sadie! Their favorite things to do all day are nap on the bed, nap in the sun and nap on the couch! They also love to climb onto the kitchen table and wait for you to walk by and pet them.

Vincent Van Gogh

I want you to watch this awesome video on Vincent Van Gogh! When you are done watching, I want you to email me at mmcgrail@seemcollaborative.org and tell me which painting was your favorite out of the ones they talked about!

Grades 2-3

Funny Faced smoothie

The warm weather has me drinking all sorts of smoothies lately! Grab some paper and markers and lets draw a smoothie!

Grades 4-5

The Longest line!

All you need for this project is paper, a black marker and 5-10 colors of your choice (markers, crayons, or colored pencils)

Pick a place on the paper to start, then without lifting your black marker, start drawing the longest- curvy, wiggliest, crazy line you can think of! The whole point of this project is to only draw ONE line, so if you need to stop for a minute for a break, that's OK! just start the line back up where you left off and continue it until your paper is filled with a line!

When you're done with the line, pick and area or two to color in like the example I have here. Have Fun!!
