Testimonials

"Since 2020, I have been a proud supporter of this grassroots organization, born out of the devastatingloss of the founder’s brother. From the start, the initiatives launched by Sean’s Dream were focused on engaging the local community, inspiring individuals to pursue their goals and emphasizing the importance of family and giving back. Asa result, the initiatives put forth by Sean’s Dream spoke to my heart, and I was intent on supporting theorganization’s mission however I could."  - Vicki H.community member/ proud supporter
"As an individual who has worked with Ms. Dembeck’s organization, SEAN’S DREAM, through our organization – I ammore than pleased to be able to support her work and recommend her organization’s application for funding fromyour initiative.SEAN’S DREAM has been an indispensable part of our client’s growth and development through their generousdonation of clothing and daily living supplies. Many of our client’s come to us with a bare minimum of items and a great deal of need. Their personal addictionshave consumed much of their resources and their clothing is many times substandard for their needs and thepresent weather conditions.SEAN’S DREAM has helped each of them fill that gap and supplied them with the items necessary to give them asense of personal respect and humanity. There is an old saying that “clothes make the man” – the reality is that our clothes reflect the feelings we have aboutourselves and the level of dignity we preserve. We will be forever grateful to SEAN’S DREAM for giving so many ofour clients a sense of dignity and pride in themselves they didn’t have coming into our facility. But SEAN’S DREAM doesn’t stop there – they have provided daily living tools (such as combs, brushes, toothpasteand other daily needs) as well as recreational materials and art supplies. All these things have added to the successof our clients in their recovery.I can’t thank SEAN’S DREAM enough for everything they have done and the impact it has made on our clients andtheir treatment progress. I wholeheartedly support and recommend their organization for this funding and respectthe dedication they have for their mission.

"I had the pleasure of working with Lisa Dembeck, founder of the Sean’s Dream Organization. Lisa and her team have participated in numerous events and initiatives throughout the Hudson Valley alongside some other prominent organizations as well as the Warwick Valley Prevention Coalition. Sean’s Dream Foundation was one of many who participated in the 2022 Red Ribbon Week event at the Emergency Service Center in Goshen NY in October.  Lisa and some of her staff were gracious enough to attend one of our events in Warwick with our Prevention Coalition and school district for a suicide prevention film called Mallory’s Army back on October 24th.  Then on December 8th I had the honor of supporting Lisa’s cause for her organization to help raise awareness for mental health recovery and substance abuse recovery. Lisa is very dedicated and passionate to her cause. She is working to expand her network and is bringing awareness, support and resources to those in need. "

I am delighted to write this letter of recommendation on behalf of SeansDream. It’s hard tobelieve I’ve known Lisa Dembeck, founder of SeansDream, for almost 2 years now, since I movedto the area and began my own nonprofit organization. Lisa has always been a huge supporterand a wealth of knowledge when it comes to Mental Health resources. Her life experiences andpassion to help others shines through the ongoing success of SeansDream.Lisa has made such strides since we met. She’s collaborated with multiple local mental healthorganizations, providing support to many individuals in mental and substance abuse recovery. She’s always hosting outreach events in the local community as well as successfully runningclothing drives to help those in recovery to have proper attire for entering the workforce again.I’m confident your support will allow Lisa to expand her reach with awareness and resources topatients and individuals that need it.As an advocate of mental health and a founder of my own nonprofit organization, I understandthe financial struggles that come with working to make a difference. We live in a world where somuch is out in the open, yet normalizing mental health is still a struggle and many shy away fromit. People are embarrassed or think there’s something wrong with them or that they have nochoice but to hurt themselves and with all the knowledge and resources available, there is noreason why anyone should feel alone in their struggles. We can all relate to experiencinganxiety or depression or even knowing someone who’s taken their own life. For that reason it'smonumentally important that organizations like SeansDream be given the opportunity to makea bigger impact and difference.I hope you will consider helping and know that if you do, it will absolutely save a life.If you need anything else from me, please don't hesitate to ask.

Every experience and donation with Sean's Dream has been amazing, Clean, new or gently used items, always exactly what we need and always exceeding expectations!!! I have experience such gratitude from the clients that receive the donated items that it has brought me to tears. When someone feels comfortable they open up to accepting recovery as a new way of life. it really has had that much of an impact on our clients!

Its such a wonderful feeling to see that several even 100 or more men's lives are touched with these donations. Thank you for caring so much and loving the sick and suffering. We are so grateful for you and this beautiful opportunity. It is so important that the individual feels support and love, especially because the people affected with the diseases of addiction feel very little to no self worth when first getting sober.

SeansDream organization is truly an angel sent from heaven! I cant say enough good things about her program. I work directly with individuals in need of clothing resources so I am often requesting exact sizes. Every time I call they have been able to gather beautiful clothing items for my clients and in record time. The client feels so much joy from having next to new or new clothes chosen especially for them, they truly are an asset to the community.
