Lisa DembeckFounder and President of SeansDream
I currently live in NY with my husband and 4 children. I have had a few career paths in my lifetime butnone as fulfilling as being able to stay home and raise my children.I hold a degree In Health Information Management, have extensive experience in administrative work, event planning, networking, and working hands on with the community. At a young age my mother taught us to participate in community service and through that experience I learned the ripple effect that it can cause for yourself and others in the community. I am also a proud board member and volunteer for NAMI Orange County NY.
My brother Sean passed away in 2020 but I believe that when someone passes away, we should not ask“How did they die?” as much as we ask, “How did they live?” Sean lived life on life’s terms every day. Hespent his days reaching for success and overcoming his struggles with the resources that he had in frontof him. I started this organization to turn my grief and pain into something that will reflect his goals andleave him a beautiful legacy associated with is name.
He struggled with the trauma from Childhood Sexual Assault leading to a life of mental health illness andPTSD. He struggled with substance abuse as his symptoms to those wounds. Mental Health andaddiction became our family’s disease. There are 1 in 5 people who suffer from the same mental healthillnesses as Sean did every day. I promise that SeansDream will help to raise funds for medical care andresources for recovery, e will hold fundraising events to end the stigma around mental health illnessand show others that through connection and support you can recover and live a happy healthy life.“We all have the same destination of success with different beautiful paths to get there”

First and foremost, I am often described as the happiest person in the room, carefree and spontaneous,I am grateful that I can find balance in any negative situation and easily move forward to be a part of thesolution. I hold a degree in fashion merchandising and worked my way up the corporate ladder with thesame company for the last two decades.
Three years ago, I made a life changing decision to commit to a healthy diet and exercise program. Ihave improved my own mental health while learning how a positive outlook with mindfulness can affectsomeone’s entire outlook on any situation. I made a promise to myself that I will always encourageothers to do the same, I am now a Beach body coach and guide others through their physical fitnessjourney.
I knew Sean for most of his life and look forward to being able to contribute to his legacy thoughSeansDream. I have experienced firsthand what mental health illness and substance abuse can do to anentire family. I will continue to use my expertise in business networking, marketing, and communityoutreach to help those in need. SeansDream will allow me to do my part and make a difference foranyone that is struggling.
I look forward to being able to apply my contagious positive attitude and outlook on life to SeansDreammission of helping others to move in a forward motion to reach their individual goals.

Nikki PostorinoSecretary of SeansDream
I was born and raised in northern New Jersey. I went to college to become a geneticist but ended up aBusiness Development Manager for an international distributor. Your life never takes the path youexpect, but I love what I do. My job allows me to travel around the world, talk to people from othercountries regularly, and I am constantly learning and excelling
I am a wife and mother to 2 small boys under 5 years old. My husband and oldest child areneurodivergent. This presents certain challenges, but there is nothing I wouldn’t do to help my family.Depression and anxiety run on my side of the family so I know the battle of trying to keep mentallystable whilst balancing personal relationships so I try to fit in hobbies and interests whenever I can.
When I learned of SeansDream, I was so impressed with the altruistic initiative to help those in need andbring light the importance of mental health. We’ve all been in some way affected either personally or bysomeone you know who needed help for an addiction, a mental disorder, a tough living situation, etcand didn’t get it soon enough or if at all. If I can be even a small part in making it easier for those in needto get the mental help they deserve or ease a situation for someone who is being directly or indirectlyaffected, I am honored to do so. We are all connected. If we lift each other up, there are no limits forour collective growth.

Having known Lisa for over 20 years, when she asked me if I knew any finance/accounting person who she could run ideas by that would not make her go broke, I said “Hi, my name is Ryan. Nice to meetyou!”
I have over 20 years experience in Finance and when she explained to me what Sean's Dream was all about, it was a no-brainer that I was about to make sure this organization is financially set up for success. My goals for this organization include maximizing donations through fundraising initiatives so that the maximum can be returned to the intended beneficiaries.
I clearly recognize mental health as one of the greatest challenges faced in our society today. Any way in which I can be a part of the help that is offered to heal from that is certainly a worthy cause in my book.Born and raised in NYC, I currently live in Orange County, NY with my wife and our two daughters. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Finance as well as an MBA in Management. Presently, I work as the Director ofFinance at the Kartrite Resort ; Indoor Waterpark, earning me some priceless “cool mom” points, as well as own my own gourmet jam & jelly company. When I’m not working, cooking, homeschooling orfinancing, you’ll find me either in the woods or on a kayak!

what is a non-profit

How do non-Profits impact society?

Charitable nonprofits encompass the best of society. They provide a way for people to work together for the common good, transforming shared beliefs and hopes into action. They give shape to our boldest dreams, highest ideals, and noblest causes.America’s 1.3 million charitable nonprofits feed, heal, shelter, educate, inspire, enlighten, and nurture people of every age, gender, race, and socioeconomic status, from coast to coast, border to border, and beyond. They foster civic engagement and leadership, drive economic growth, and strengthen the fabric of our communities.

We can organize a fundraiser in your school or business, we can help students with volunteer hours.

what can Donating to a nonprofit do for your community?

Every time you donate to a non-profit company, you are actually contributing to an organization that donates proceeds back into your community. Here is why the work of non-profit organizations is important.

Non-profit organizations are extremely valuable to society because they are able to serve the community directly. These groups are often seen as an investment for people who wish to do something meaningful with their lives while helping others. By giving your time, expertise or donations, you can make a difference in your local community which will help bring awareness towards causes that need it most. If more people were able to work directly with non-profit organizations, the world would be a much better place for everyone, so take advantage of all these different opportunities today and become part of making a change in our society!
